Sustainable Development Open House In Redmond, WA

Sustainable development, managing storm water, these are all concerns for the City of Redmond.  If you would like to find out more about the city’s plans for future development, attend the open house on July 28th, 2008 in the lobby of City Hall at Monday, July 28 from 5 to 7 pm in the 15670 NE 85th Street.  Redmond is looking at sustainable development for the future.

“Implementing sustainable development and natural stormwater management techniques increases natural resource conservation, reduces home operating costs and better protects Redmond’s drinking water sources.  Techniques include achieving green building certification, planting drought-resistant native landscaping, reducing impervious surface (hardscape) area, reusing rainwater from roofs, minimizing site disturbance during development and installing green (vegetated) roofs.”  from the City of Redmond press release.
