Hmm, it’ll be a toss up for me to choose between the warm Guittard Chocolate Sundae and a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc at Redmond, Washington’s Village Road Show Gold Class Cinemas which is opening in downtown Redmond’s Town Center on October 24th. I’m always game for chocolate or wine! The owners are promising a new movie theater experience, and a very upscale experience at that. The theaters will host only about 40 people at a time with plush seating, gourmet small plates, and a top notch wine list. You can valet park your car, make reservations online, and are served at your seats. I first heard about this theater earlier this year and wrote a post about it.
What is it about regular movie theaters that people think they can dump their trash, drinks, and popcorn on the floor and walk away? With the promise of a different type of movie theater experience, I’m expecting not to get my feet stuck to floors sticky from spilled drinks!
The Redmond Reporter had a article which highlighted a little more about this new dining/theater experience. I hope this new theater concept is done well and succeeds as it might be a very refreshing, although expensive, night out. If you have a chance to attend an evening at the theater in Redmond, do let us know what you think. I’m always game to try new things at least once and will report back with my thoughts. Hope you enjoy your movie!
