Before It Was Redmond Washington’s Willows Run Golf Course It Was….?

In Exploring Redmond, Redmond, Redmond Washington history, Things to do in Redmond on November 6, 2008 at 2:56 pm

You could find head lettuce, carrots, turnips on a farm that grew from 6 acres in the 1920′s to over 87 acres in Redmond’s Sammamish River Valley north of downtown.  The farm thrived until the late 60′s. Today it’s Willows Run Golf Course, but it has had an interesting past.  Join The Redmond Historical Society this coming Saturday at the Redmond School House to learn about the past of the valley as a farming area.  The talk is from 10:30 AM to noon, 16600 NE 80th St.  Hear one of the women who grew up and worked on this farm.  Photos and videos will be shared.
