What Were The Chances of Getting a West Redmond Home, Near Microsoft, Sold in October, 2008?

In For Buyers, For Sellers, Market Statistics, Real Estate news, Redmond on November 20, 2008 at 11:12 pm

Sellers had an 11% chance of getting a home sold in West Redmond and East Bellevue, both neighborhoods near Microsoft, in October, 2008.

October, 2008         315 homes for sale, 36 sales,      11% chance of selling.

September 2008      324 homes for sale, 57 sales       17.5 chance of selling.

October, 2007         278 homes for sale, 40 sales,      14% chance of selling.

October was a tough month to sell a home, but the area around Microsoft still led the pack as the strongest area to sell a home on the eastside, but only by a small margin.  So far this year, October represents the slowest month to sell a home, whereas June was the best month.

Only think about selling if you are willing to place your home in the best possible position with killer pricing, killer staging, photography, and marketing.  Only realistic sellers should be out there. Homes  are selling, but they are the best of the best.  If you are making a move up or downsizing, you can get a steal on the buying end.
