Trader Joe's Redmond
Trader Joe’s is coming to downtown Redmond on October, 9th! Just down the plaza from the first QFC store in downtown Redmond, it’s part of the shopping center remodel.
Trader Joe’s will be a huge asset to Redmond. There are now fabulous shopping options in Redmond all the way from Whole Foods, to Larry’s (still a great supermarket), QFC, and now Trader Joe’s. Since all the stores are close to the downtown core, it gives shoppers the option to pick and choose what they buy at each store. The addition of Trader Joe’s will also help increase traffic to the other stores in the area.
Thanksgiving is coming (hard to believe) and it’s one of the few times I actually cook! It’s made easier by Trader Joe’s because they’ll have packages of chopped veggies, onions, and yams. Not having to chop something like onions is a huge time saver.
Trader Joe’s not only has some great prices, but some great food. I love to buy cheese there, because it’s a much better value than most any other grocery store in the area. The selection is a good, basic selection, not nearly as complete as Whole Foods, but it’s reasonably priced. But my one true Trader Joe’s love is the dark chocolate 1 lb. candy bar. Try it, you’ll like it. Their frozen cheesecake is yummy, too! Oh, and they have great frozen appetizers you can heat up quickly in a microwave and….
What are your Trader Joe’s favorites?

I don’t get out to trader Joe’s much (at least until the Redmond one opens, it’s a bit out of the way) but I happen to like the dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts.
Thanks for the link,

Hi Brian, Boy, you’re quick. I haven’t tried the macadamia nuts, but I may have to add them to my list. I’ve made it a habit of dropping by the Trader Joe’s in Totem Lake in Kirkland and in Bellevue whenever I’m in the area.
By the way, I enjoy your blog. Interesting articles.
